NSW Payroll Tax

August 10, 2021

As you may be aware, NSW payroll taxpayers have been granted a deferral for both the 2021 annual reconciliation and monthly payments for July & August 2021. These are now due by 7th October 2021.

We recommend lodging your monthly payroll tax figures as usual (if we do this for you this will continue), however we advise that you do not schedule any payments through Payroll Tax online (or make payment through any other means) until we find out more information regarding the application process for the 25% reduction on payroll tax.

Revenue NSW has announced that businesses that experienced a decline in revenue of 30% or more will be eligible for a payroll tax reduction of 25%. We are waiting on more information as to how this will be applied for and administered. We will contact you when details are released (hopefully by end of August 2021).

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us.
