$1,000 SafeWork Small Business Rebate

July 25, 2023

As a business owner in NSW, you have a fantastic opportunity to receive a $1,000 rebate for purchasing safety items for you and your workers. We first informed our Small Business Clients about this rebate in 2018 when it was first introduced. Please note that if you've previously made a claim, you may be eligible to submit another one, as businesses can claim once every 5 years.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Small business owners and sole traders in NSW with an ABN.
  • Businesses must have less than 50 full-time employees.
  • Charities and not-for-profits are also eligible to apply.
  • The application must be in the name of the registered business owner.
  • The registered business owner must agree to the program's terms and conditions.
  • Proof of eligibility is required, which can be provided through the ABN.

Eligible purchases may include items which aim to:

  • Prevent slips, trips & falls.
  • Prevent being hit by moving objects.
  • Avoid stress caused by lifting or moving objects, people or animals.
  • Prevent injury when moving machinery, plant or vehicles.
  • Avoid exposure to noise, chemicals & sun exposure.

You can view a full list of eligible items here.
