Tax Deduction for Employees Superannuation

To be eligible to claim a tax deduction for your employees June Quarter’s superannuation, payments must reach the employees superannuation account before 30 June 2021.

We note, however, that the software providers and the Super Funds themselves have different cut-off dates to ensure that the contributions are processed on time.

If you pay your employee’s superannuation using MYOB’s Pay Super you must process pay before 17 June 2021 (i.e. 16 June 2021 is the last day to process the payments).

If you pay your employee’s superannuation using Xero’s Auto Super you must authorise payments before 2pm Tuesday 22nd June.

If you use any other software provider or clearing house, please contact your provider for more information.
